Passion Improve To 2-0 with 35-0 Victory Over Tri-State Warriors
For the first time in two seasons, the Passion took the field in front of their fans and started to put on a show from the start. Maria Fautali ran it in from two yards out to put the Passion on the board first. Safety Lawanda Pearson then had an interception which led to Marcelina Chavez taking the toss from Alyssa George for a 57 yard sprint to the endzone to put the Passion up 14-0 in the first quarter..
The Passion then opened up the playbook on the next drive and with some trickeration George tossed to Chavez who then threw a rope to Jana Meister for a 40 yard touchdown pass. The Passion added another touchdown when George ran it in from 27 yards out and heading into the half Arielle Smith ran it in from 13 yards out and after a bobbled snap on the point after attempt, Brandy Polinick, the Kicker, picked it up and complete the two point conversion pass giving the Passion a 35-0 lead.
The swarming Passion defense featuring starters Devon Peace, Hannah Daman, Katelyn Polenik, Niaja Brokaw, Kim Zubovic, Kaitlyn Niedermeyer, Meize Gardner, Kam Lowe, Chelsea Biggers, Jasmin Jones, Rebecca Ehrgood and Lawanda Pearson put on a shut down show not allowing the Tri-State Warriors to gain anything in the air or on the ground.
Maria Fautali, Marcelina Chavez, Alyssa George, Arielle Smith and Qualin Pitts led the way for the Passion offense with a dominating rushing attack combining for 177 yards and 4 touchdowns. Jana Meister added to the offense with 83 yards receiving and a touchdown.

The Passion are back in action next Saturday May 7 when they travel to Boston to take on the Renegades.
