Passion Continue Streak in Toledo, D.C Up Next
The Passion traveled to Toledo, Ohio Saturday afternoon to take on the Reign and opened
up the scoring on an 85-yard pass from Montgomery to Baker.  Followed by a 10 yard pass from Montgomery to Vasquez, a Montgomery 4 yard touchdown run and a two touchdown runs from Smith (1 and 20 yards). The Passion led 33-0 at the Half.
The Passion opened up the scoring in the 2nd half on a 25 yard pass from Montgomery to Baker.  Followed by a 1 yard run by Smith and the Passion defense got a touchdown on a forced fumble by Daman which was recovered and run in by Spencer.  Toledo added a late rushing touchdown and the Passion improved to 6-0 with a 54-7 victory.
The defense continued their strong play of the past few weeks and held the Toledo offense in check all night. Starting with outstanding pressure from the front 4, led by Niedermeyer with 9 tackles. Linebackers Daman, Ionta, Conner and Smith all contributed with some huge hits and plugged up the gaps. Standout Secondary play by Cozzo and Spencer contributed to another outstanding defensive performance. Spencer added a fumble recovery (forced by Daman) for a touchdown.
Up Next, the Passion travel to D.C next Saturday May 26 for the 2nd half of the home and home with the Divas this season and this game will have some say in playoff positioning.
