Freddie Fu, MD, was the long-time team physician for the Pittsburgh Passion and was well-known for his enthusiasm both on and off the field. Dr. Fu passed in September 2021, and just a few months before his death, said of the Passion: “They are the most diverse team in Pittsburgh sports, and they’re so welcoming and encouraging for other women to take part. I feel privileged to be taking care of them.”
