Passion Improve to 5-0 in​ Keystone State Battle 38-12 over Philadelphia

​​Gabrielle O’Neil​ ignited the crowd​ ​opening​ up the scoring with a 67 yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage. Philadelphia answered with a touchdown of their own early in the 2nd Quarter to tie the game at 6. The Passion added 2 more touchdowns before the half on 18 and 64 yard passes from ​Janice ​Masters to ​Lisa ​Horton to go in the locker room up 20-6.

O’Neil opened up the scoring in the 2nd half with a 66 yard touchdown run. Masters then hit ​Angela​ Baker on a 14 yard pass before the end of the 3rd Quarter. Philadelphia added another touchdown before ​Tara ​Catone ran one in from the 1 yard line to finish off the scoring.

On offense, Masters threw for 196 yards. ​O’Neil led the ground attack with 133 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. Catone added 26 rushing yards and a touchdown. Horton led the receivers with 6 receptions for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns​, Baker added 42 receiving yards and a touchdown.

​The Passion defensive line, led by Kim Zubovic, Kaitlain Niedermeyer, Kiara Keys, and Chelsea Zahn had relentless pressure up front all night. Zubovic had a fumble recovery. At linebacker, Tia Montgomery added to the tackling frenzy with 8, Kelcei Edmonds-Tindal had 7 and a sack, and Sharon Vasquez added 6.

After a bye week next week, the Passion travel to Boston on May 13 to take on the Renegades.
